Like Aaron, I met Ray while working at Boston Private in 2016. From the minute you met him, you wanted to be around him. Words can not describe what a kind and warm person he was. Intelligent but not overbearing, he really made you feel welcome and I loved when he would pop in to the Treasury room at work to talk about the markets. We loved the after work trip to our favorite spot Coogan's with Aaron. While we both left Boston Private in 2017, and I only got the chance to see him in person a couple times after that, but each time I did it's like we hadn't missed a beat. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Rest easy my brother. You will be missed - G

I met Ray towards the end of 2016 when we both started working for Boston Private. Our career paths diverted but we remained friends. He took me to my first Patriots game, and it was an experience I will never forget. He was always so giving and would always be ready to help anyone in need. He was a great listener and I felt like I could talk to him about anything because he never judged. Ray was a ray of sunshine, always lit up the place with laughter. I cannot believe he is gone and I cannot believe I will never see him again. Now he lives through us all. Through those he impacted. Rest In Peace Ray, I will never forget you my friend.

Ray was a person who could change your mood in a second with his infectious laugh and attitude. He was a friend who would always be there for the people who mattered to him no matter the situation. Ray made the days at Dexter go by that much quicker with his stories and positive vibes. Ray will always have a special place in my life. My condolences are with the Na family and all of the people Raymond touched during his 28 years. Rest in peace Ray.

Ray - my first love, my high school sweetheart, and the reason for so many smiles and beautiful memories. You were full of life and of love. I am lucky to have so many memories of you. From macaroons in New York, to meeting my parents for the first time, to bingsu in Somerville, to my first ever build-a-bear, to your mother's lettuce wraps in Belmont, to chili fest in Vermont, to sleepovers at Clark, to dancing to "We Found Love" at my senior prom, to late night phone calls, to random thoughtful gifts, and to date nights in Harvard Square… you always brought your full self, a positive attitude, and a desire to make sure that those around you were happy, loved and cared for. I am infinitely grateful to have spent time by your side and to have grown alongside you. I hope you know how special you are to me and how much you mean to those who had the privilege of knowing you. My parents, siblings, and I will remember you fondly and we send our deepest condolences to your entire family. Saranghae, mi amor.

Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. We are so amazed and humbled. We held a small cremation ceremony yesterday led by Rev. Karina Fontanez of Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, Mass. at Mount Auburn Cemetery. Despite letting them know at the last minute, we were blessed by the presence of four of his closest high school friends (Kian, Abner, Connor, and Ryan). Although we are still processing what happened and grieving the loss of Raymond, we are heartened and encouraged that he is now in a better place where there is no pain, anguish, anger, and sadness. We are also encouraged by what a positive light he was for his friends and community around him. We read this passage from Psalm 139: You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book, before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand- when I awake, I am still with you.

I remember Raymond as a kind, generous, and brilliant guy who loved his family very much. He had the conviction to make an impact in the world such as contributing to charities, inspired by his brother, Brian, a pediatric oncologist. One of Raymond's love languages was gift-giving and he would generously give thoughtful and personalized gifts to his friends and family. I will never forget you Raymond and will always remember your bright voice, your humor, and your witty observations about the world.
