I remember Raymond as a bubbly and perpetual smiling, quick to roll up sleeve person who is more then willing to participate and extend his help to anyone who needs it. Throughout the years that we have been colleagues he was always at arms length to help out and offering his relentless support and many a times putting others ahead of himself. It was through those times that I also got to know Raymond more and know how proud he is of his family and the pride when he talks about them. I also remember him as a very humble with no airs and a very thrifty person - always staying at 7 Days (七天) hotel and eating simple takeaway dinners when he stays over in shenzhen - in his very Raymond way of mixing Chinese and Cantonese ‘我很简单的..有個牀就好了..吃得飽就好了'. Did not foresee that the catch ups with him during his last couple of business trip to Singapore Pre-covid days would be his last and that the I would be instead writing down words that remember him by today. Rest In Peace my friend or ‘Heng Dai' like you have always say, I bid you farewell and 一路走好。 You will be dearly missed.

Raymond was a rare individual, and an endless source of energy and positivity and a never-say-no attitude. During the few years in Shenzhen when I was fortunate to work with him, he always lent a patient ear and meaningful advice, through thick and thin. On countless occasions. I have seen him rise above and beyond his role to help and assist others to overcome challenges and inspire us. He was pivotal to the success of the consumer lighting business of Philips across a very large part of the world, and there are many like me who feel very grateful to him. While it is extremely difficult to accept his untimely departure, I'm sure that he's still infecting all those around him with his positivity and cheer and taking care of us friends and family in his own unique way. Your legacy lives on…

I met you Raymond in OCT 2009 in Philips Lighting, you were like a big brother to me. I always can see a big smile from your face! You are so nice to every one and Patient. When ever we have a problem we likes to go to you and talk with you, you can always give a very good advise! It was a good time that Philips luminaire was copied by all the Zhongshan small brand. One of the afternoon i come back from Zhongshan and 4Pm and i tell you there is one brand copy many of our product, you immediately take a car and go to Zhongshan and collecting evidence and sue them in the next days! You are FA controller but you try your best to save money for company,I still remember if you are stay in shenzhen due to business reason, you stay in 7day in stead of good hotel. I still believe you will be always with us and we will always remember you! Ben Zhang from Philips consumer luminaire.

Raymond is one of the most gentle and positive soul I met. His presence at work had positive vibes and inspiring, can-do feeling. Raymond had a unique sense of humor; and discussions with him on even on serious matter would have his sharp but simple comments that lightened the moments and put smile on everyone's face. He was through professional with uncomplicated approach and thinking. His highly supportive, inclusive, and unbiased advice always helped me personally navigate my work and life in Shenzhen. Cannot imagine he is not among us anymore. He leaves behind great memories and lessons on simplicity, energy, positivity, and integrity. My prayers for Raymond and for strength to his family to deal with this untimely loss. Raymond will be missed by all, his family, and friends.
