Raymond Edward Mansur was born on March 22, 1967 to Edward Raymond and Rose Marie Mansur in Alhambra, CA. He was the youngest of three children. Ray attended Temple City High School and played water polo. He went on to graduate from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. During his time in college he also was a proud brother of Sigma Nu Fraternity and served as the Chapter's President. Since then, through hard work and dedication he was able to progress in his career and become a Senior Principal at Stantec. In 1992, he met Julie Rasmussen in Arcadia while watching his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins, play Monday Night Football. Sharing the same faith, having the same values, and loving the same football team brought them together in a bond that lasted 30 years. They went on to bring two beautiful and talented children into the world, Jacob Edward and Sarah Rebecca. There was nothing he loved more than his family and his children. He was an extremely active and hands-on father. He coached and attended both the children's soccer, little league, basketball, and football games. Through these sports teams, he was able to motivate and inspire all of the children he coached serving as a mentor and a role model. For anyone who knew Ray, they would know that he was one of the most devoted, loyal, personable, charismatic, compassionate, and hilarious people out there. If family or friends needed anything, he was always willing to help because his loved ones were the most important people in his life. Raymond Edward Mansur passed into God's hands on the evening of November 8, 2024. He leaves behind: Wife - Julie Children - Jacob and Sarah Siblings - Nick, Rosa, Debbie, Vince, Melinda, and Katie Aunt - Samm Nieces - Rebecca, Nicole, Chloe, Gabriella Nephews- David, Steven, Colby, Ian, and Theodore He also leaves behind other extended loving family, his best friends in the world, and his coworkers. Ray was a father, son, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend that will be forever missed.

It's going to take a long time. I miss you my brother. Julie, Jake, and Sarah will be well taken care of. Mostly I miss your comments about us getting old and chubby, and I wish we could have continued the jabs:-) I missed you this last birthday and will miss you going forward. This 4th of July I will light fireworks in your honor. You were a pyro just like me:--)

Ray will be deeply missed. I had the privilege of knowing and working with him for the last 8 years. He was truly a leader and always willing to give the guidance I needed. I will miss his infectious laugh and humor. Being one of the older guys in Geospatial, Ray always reminded me of my greatest accomplishment, which was the staking of the Great Pyramids. I told him he should have been on my crew. Ray always made himself available to discuss projects and life in general. From discussions with him, I admired him for his openness regarding his faith, love of family and how much he valued friends. It was an honor to know and work with Ray. They will be impossibly large shoes to fill. My heart goes out to his wife and children. I pray you take comfort in knowing he is now in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. God Speed, Ray! We will meet again.

Ray is my big brother. He is not my biological brother but a brother of the heart. He married my big sister and has been a huge part of my everyday life since the day Julie and I went to Arcadia Sports Bar to watch the Miami Dolphins game. She was a huge fan and she met Ray who was also a huge fan. We have done so many things together but a few of my fondest memories are of him calling me Choni because he saw me run through the house in my tee-shirt and underwear while he was walking in to the house Julie and I lived in. Another fond memory is him singing his Elvis impersonation for every one of my birthdays because he knew I loved Elvis. The time Julie and I brought the BMW to Stantec so he could test drive and buy it. He sat with me and Katie in Julie's hospital room watching over her while taking silly Snapchat photos to cheer us up. He was a wonderful uncle to my son and later to my daughter. We have had so much fun at every family event, which where many. He always used his handyman skills to fix things around my house but the thing I will miss most about him is his sense of humor. He always came back with the best one liners. I will miss you my brother and I will do my best to look after your family until we can all be together again in heaven.

Ray was a distant cousin of my late husband, but he and Julie became our instant close family the minute we met them in 1995, soon after we moved to California. Ray has the biggest heart with the infinite capacity to love. Wherever we were with him, He made us feel like we were heard and loved, and always at ease. I use to watch him with Jacob (then Sarah) and thinking he is the definition of what a good father is! And Of course, his love and devotion to Julie.. its unparalleled. I have so many happy memories of our time with Ray.. the road trip we took to watch the Miami Dolphins play; the family trip to Big bear where we had so much fun on the boat; and the endless birthdays and holidays we spend together.. Ray is always there, helping with the drinks, picking up the kids toys, blowing up the water slide... I still can not believe he had left this world.. I know God must has bigger plans for him to take him so early, but our time with him was just not long enough. He will be missed dearly, and lives in our hearts and memories forever and ever. Sending Love and hugs to you - Julie, Jacob & Sarah.

What can I say about Ray after reading the wonderful notes others have left. Just that ALL of it is true. He was always genuine, kind and a professional in all aspects. I had the pleasure of working for him on several projects at Stantec. On one particular occasion things did not go as planned on a project and instead of pointing fingers or being mean he was kind and just wanted to help us turn things around, and as a team and his leadership we did! He will be truly missed. May the bright light shine on him forever and provide peace and consolation to his family, friends and colleagues.
