Ralph James Cortes

Ralph Cortes was a true American hero with a beautiful soul. Mr. Red, White, & Blue. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kayla (Sam), sister, Deb (John) Cauzillo, nieces and nephews, Lori, Michael, and Brian, brother, Ron, nephew Gian, and countless friends nationwide. Ralph was a U.S. Army Veteran, equestrian, avid golfer, bowler, biker, fisherman of the Great Lakes, and baseball player. He played baseball with his battle brothers and won many awards. Ralph served during the Vietnam War, overseas in Korea, and was a brave soldier who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Ralph also modeled in his younger days, loved horses, was an equestrian trainer, & attended Michigan State University. He went to Thomas M. Cooley High School in Detroit and continued to make many dear friends in Northville. In place of flowers, please consider donating to the Detroit VA Healthcare System or VA Ann Arbor in Ralph's name.
