Priscilla's Daughter
Priscilla Mae Howard
April 7th, 1933 - September 25th, 2024
April 7th, 1933 - September 25th, 2024
Priscilla Mae Washington Howard was born April 7, 1933, to the late Tom and Irene “Lissie” Washington in Birmingham, Alabama.
At an early age, she confessed Christ and later attended 23rd Street Baptist Church in Ensley, Alabama.
Priscilla attended A.H. Parker High School and married the late Samuel Eugene Howard in 1951.
As a young woman she entered the workforce to provide for her children. After briefly working in the Pizitz cafeteria, Priscilla began her career as a shirt operator in various cleaners throughout the Birmingham area.
Priscilla was a person who brought laugher to the lives of all those she encountered. Family and friends alike have memories of her stories, jokes, and satire of current events. She was loved by all and impressed all with her timeless memory of life's events. Priscilla's biggest gift was her love of life, and she displayed it during her diligent fight to live.
On September 25, 2024, Priscilla gained her wings, just as her parents, Tom and Irene, and siblings, Robert, Walter, Aquilla, Felix and Willie Washington, sister-n-law, Elizabeth Washington, son-in-law, Gay Lloyd James along with her children, Susan Eddins and Lester Paul Howard, Sr. had done before her and transitioned into eternity.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four loving daughters, Francine James, Wanda Bryant (Leroy), Amanda and Jennifer Howard. She also leaves her loving and devoted sister, Carita Washington, sisters-in-law Janet Washington and Claudette Pittman, daughter-in-law, Allison Howard, son-in-law, Willie S Eddins and grandchildren, Justin and Christian Eddins, Nikita and Sean James, Michael Jordan, Lester Paul Howard, Jr., Carla, Andrew (Dalphne) Howard and Leroy Bryant along with her nieces, Mary and Kristian Ivy Washington, nephews, Robert Washington Jr and Frederick Washington and her many great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Graveside services at Elmwood Cemetery, 600 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Birmingham Alabama 35211 are scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 12:00pm.

Grandma Cilla! What can I say, lol! I love you dearly. As, I sit here and try to find the words to express what I feel right now I cant do anything but remember the good times. The more I think about it I'm more like you than I've ever thought. You had a way with words, and people always remembered what you said. It was a gift and a joy for others the way you talked junk. We love you Grandma and you will always, always live in out hearts! Sincerely, Your Poor Litter Rich Boy
