Pete was a kind and friendly neighbor. We spoke often when he was walking around the neighborhood and he never complained of the Illness that he had hoped to overcome. Pete will be missed and may he Rest In Peace.

My brother ,Ted, and I grew up with Pete and Tommy in Glenlya Park. Played a lot of basball back in the late 50s and early 60s. Then surfing became popular. We bought our first surfboard, which was partly owned between the 4 of us. Great memories. You and Tommy were good friends. Sad to see both brothers are gone. You are now seated with the almighty in heaven. God bless your family.

From the Florida Times Union Tribute Page: I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your Dad as a teenager! I met him when we took ballroom dancing together! It was a fun time and your Dad was a good friend in school! My prayers are with your family! God bless you all! Jeannine Byrnes

Truly a compassionate & humble guy! Was a pleasure to serve with Pete at Fl Paper/Jan Pak. Fondly remember Pete doting on & bringing his 2 young boys to work where they went MIA by hiding under his desk! God Bless & RIP Pete!

I was thinking about Pete the other day and remembering our days and adventures at Florida Paper/Janpak. Always a great guy and team member. He will be missed by all of us.

I start by extending my deepest sympathies to Petes Family as a result of his recent passing. Peter and I became friends at Holiday Hill elementary school and shared many friends in common from that Glynlea/Holiday Hill/Grove Park neighborhood . When we were in high school Pete’s Dad Bernie got us jobs one summer as water meter reader assistants which sounds glamorus but was just a fancy title for the guy who ran ahead of the water meter reader , opened the box , cleaned the glass , let him read it and ran ahead to the next one . I lost 10 pounds off a 150 pound body that summer and I promised Pete that if I survived the summer I would thank his Dad for the job ( the pay was pretty good ) but respectfully decline for the following summer ... :-) . After we graduated from The University of Florida we both landed back in Riverside and reconnected . Pete ran the kitchens of several restaurants and I was a managment trainee for Atlantic Bank . During those years we both enjoyed Rock and Roll Music , Cold Beer and an ocassional toke , life was good . In 1977 I was transferred by the bank to Orlando & Pete and I lost touch , however I will always cherish his friendship and be forever grateful for having him as a part of the fabric of my life . GOD’s speed Pete , Rock On , Wayne
