We are so sad to hear about the passing of Peter. He was an amazing person and was a dear family friend, especially to my dad. When my dad passed away, Peter was there for my mom and I without hesitation. He stepped in not only as an attorney but as a dedicated friend. I will forever be grateful to him. He will really be missed. We are thinking and praying for all of you during this time. May his memory be eternal. These pictures were taken at a St. Sophia Cathedral award banquet honoring my dad- January 2010

Dear Kaplanis Family, Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. You kindly sent the announcement to my father, Mike Riskas, who unfortunately passed away on April 1st. The men forged a friendship through AHEPA and socialized as couples when my mother was still alive. I attended the Christmas parties on several occasions and met Peter and Joan and enjoyed visiting with them. My dad always looked forward to the meetings when Peter was going to speak! I hope that these old Greeks have found each other in Heaven and have done some catching up as they have a lot in common. I share with you in grieving during this difficult time, so many usual traditions are not available. My best to you all, Sincerely, Michelle Riskas

Peter was my parents attorney for many years, but most importantly their dear friend. My dad, Chris, would always keep Peter company on some of his "business road trips." I would like to share what Peter wrote in my dad's memorial book. "Chris A., since you have taken the way to Heaven, I don't have anyone to ride to Santa Barbara with me. Therefore, I'll have to sell the Santa Barbara property. We'll all miss you! Thank you for being my friend. Peter" I would like to say that our fathers are together again on "Heaven's Highway". Peter's memory will be eternal. We will miss his smile and his enthusiasm for the Greek Culture and its history. Sending my love, Christiann
