Penny knew the bounds in which joy could extend. Throughout her life Penny Herman touched many lives through her dedication to motherhood, to her community, and to those around her.

Partaking in volunteer positions at the many sports events of her children, joining and remaining a prominent member of two volunteer groups within Sonoma County (the Active 20-30 Club and the Junior League- president and member), actively volunteering at the young women's Juvenile Hall, creating bonds as a CASA advocate in order to help those who have fallen in and out of foster care, and more; Penny Herman displayed a commitment to joy through her understanding of the magic that manifests from communal engagement, the importance of good time, and the power of support.

Along with this involvement, Penny simultaneously worked to start and continue her own Business with Peter Herman. Skyline Bookbinding and Supplies remains after over 20 years.

However, many of you know Penny Herman in an additional light. The shimmer of laughs and smiles, country music and scary shows. Penny made many friends throughout her life. Some she supported and others that supported her. All that met Penny enjoyed her high spirits and wild card attitude. A great wingwoman, partying buddy, listener, artist, reader, thrift shopper, traveler, friend, and mother; Penny Herman will remain remembered and forever lively in all of those who she has touched.
