Peggie A. Wilcoxen Dale, 90, of Parkersburg, WV, died December 31, 2020 under the loving care of Cedar Grove Assisted Living. She was born January 23, 1930 in Rockland (Belpre), Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Robert Wilcoxen and Clarice Brown Wilcoxen Martin. She is survived by a daughter Connie Dale and a son Richard Dale, both of Waverly, WV and a brother Jack Wilcoxen of Parkersburg, WV. She was proceeded in death by her husband Richard "Doug" Dale, a son Gregory A. Dale, and a brother James Wilcoxen. Peggie enjoyed her grandsons Jon and Josh Dale and great-grandsons Ayden and Jackson Dale. She was a 1947 graduate of Belpre High School and spent her life as a mother and co-owner with Doug Dale of the Economy Market and Laundromat, Dipper D in St. Marys, as well as The Beverage Barn in Newport, Ohio. She was the glue that kept everything going for 40+ years of service to the community of St. Marys. In her retirement at Conaan Valley, WV, she remained an avid golfer, grandma, and supporter of WVU football. Peggie was a survivor who pushed through many tribulations, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer's Disease. Many young people began their careers with Peggie and never forgot their "first job" under her tutelage. Peggie's wishes were that there be no services at this time. The family asks that you remember her with passing forward kindness in her honor. We wish to thank the health workers at Cedar Grove Assisted Living for all their hard work and care. A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.

A very nice obituary about a wonderful lady. Prayers to Connie & Richard as the memories you hold dear in your heart bring you great comfort in days to come. You both took a special effort to make Peggy's life worthwhile in her last years. This tells us all of the traits & character she & Doug handed down through the family. Heaven now Rejoices your mother is at Peace. I am certain this lady left her imprint on the life of at least one 17 year old young man in 1974-75. Love to all.

So very sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother. May you all have a peace of mind that she was always so nice to the Riggs kids when we were growing up. Hugs
