“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7

Pauline Fastine Hall Cameron, aged 72, late of Leiba Gardens, Spanish Town, and formerly of Retreat St. Mary, passed away in May 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and colour.

Born in Retreat St. Mary, Pauline was a vibrant, adventurous soul whose passion for life radiated through everything she did. A retired teacher and devout Christian, she was known for her bubbly spirit, bold personality, and unmistakable zest for living. Her love for family, people, her warm smile, and her vibrant presence made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

She was the proud and loving mother of two children—Shaun O'Brian Cameron and Shauna Audi Lee Cameron—whom she raised with strength, passion, faith, and immeasurable love. She was also the doting G MOM of Ayden Cameron and Abigail Thompson and, most significantly, the wife of Samuel Arthur Cameron and the guardian for Koako. Pauline was more than a mother and grandmother; she was a friend, an encourager, and a light in every room she entered.

Her life will be honoured at a Prayer Service and Tributes on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Heritage Independent Baptist Church (HIBC), Lot 11, Sydenham Commercial Park, Old Harbour Road, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Ms Cameron was such a lady of poise and class, As Shauna’s friend she treated me as family when I was at the house she was always fussing over me and feeding me. I was without words when I was told she passed. It was such a privilege to have known her and spend time with her. Even though her physical body is gone she continues to shine through Shauna and Abby who have capture her poise and sense of style. Gone too soon. We miss Ms Cameron .

It has been a difficult thing to come to terms with the loss of my dear mother-in-law. I wake up each day in disbelief that she is no longer with us. But I know God has a plan, and in His perfect wisdom, He called her home to be with Him. I will always remember the love, kindness, and wisdom she shared so generously, and how her beautiful, bright spirit shone wherever she went. No matter what she was going through herself, she always had encouraging words for others. What I will miss most is the unwavering love she showed her grandson, Ayden. Whenever I sent him to stay with her, it was as if she never wanted to let him go. She lit up every time she saw him or heard his voice. I would always notice a change in Ayden when he returned home, he seemed more settled, more thoughtful, and more mature in his words and actions. She nurtured him, gave him the best of everything, and kept little for herself. All those times she cooked exactly what he wanted, and made his lemonade just the way he liked it. I’ll admit, I sometimes felt a twinge of jealousy when he’d say that Gmom’s lemonade was the best. Her love for her children and granddaughter was just as steadfast. She was so proud of Shaun, Shauna, Ayden, and Abby. It broke my heart when I learned of her illness. I did not want to believe she would leave us. Yet, her strength through it all revealed the depth of her faith in God, a faith that carried her through the hardest of times. She battled her illness quietly, with a grace that showed she understood her purpose, Gods’s purpose. My dear Mrs. Cameron, you are deeply loved, and I will hold you in my heart forever.

THE HOLNESS HOME

We were deeply saddened by the loss of this phenomenal lady. When we got married she was there to help us take on this new journey. She offered wisdom and guidance from her own life and for that we are eternally grateful. When news came that she was ill, prayers were offered non-stop. We prayed that God would raise her up. He did better. HE PROMOTED HER TO GLORY. It is surreal. A hard pill to swallow; But thankfully we sorrow in hope. WE WILL SEE HER AGAIN.

Words seem useless at this time, because how do you express the true emotions about someone you have known for over 50 years in just a few kind words, even though we were mile apart we remained friends and was a special person. The countless often unseen ways she impacted the lives of those around her, her caring selfless ways that often goes in noticed, yet she never seem stop being who God made her to be. I am grateful for our friendship and love we shared for each other. Thank God for her life and the Legacy she has left Behind, you will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Rest in peace my friend. Margie Phane
