Anita Joan Davis was an artist, adventurer and entrepreneur. Her favorite pastimes were reading, painting and traveling. As a single Mom, she ran an insurance business for 25 years, a part-time travel business for 12 years and a part-time antiques business for 20 years. She swam with dolphins in Mexico, flew over the Catskills in a glider, sailed through the Panama Canal and climbed a 50ft driftwood ladder on the Native American cliff dwellings in New Mexico. Friends, family and neighbors would describe her as kind, creative, hilarious, adventurous, tenacious and caring.
