"Remember!"

On Saturday, March 7th, 2020 Paul Workinger, loving husband, father and Papa passed away at age 67. Paul was born on November 7th, 1952 in Eugene, Oregon to Howard & Rosella Workinger. On September 1, 1973 he married his wife, Charlene Knoles, and together they raised 4 children, Luke, Autumn, and twins David and Spring.  He started Rainbow Carpet Cleaning in 1973 and it gave him so much pride to run this family business with his wife, his children and their spouses, and even his grandchildren.

Paul was dedicated to his faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and always put energy into taking care of others.  He always worked hard to be the best son, brother, uncle, husband, father, papa, boss and friend he could possibly be.  He was known for his loyalty, giving spirit and ability to always greet you with a smile and a hug. His existence revolved around teaching and taking care of others.

Paul loved learning and took full advantage of filling his mind with everything from spiritual encouragement, to self improvement, to biographies of those he looked up to, and even learning to play the piano (multiple times).

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Howard and his brother, David.  He is survived by his mother, Rosella, his sister, Janie, his wife, Charlene, and his children and their spouses Luke & Sherry, Autumn & James, David & Janelle, and Spring & Allen. Also by his five grandchildren Neci, Riley, Jaxon, Ruby and Carter. As well as lots of nieces and nephews.

He cherished each and every single relationship he had. Paul was devoted to his faith, family and friends in everything he did.

Paul brought an abundance of warmth and love for every single person he met, and was always looking for ways to improve the lives of everyone around him. He had such a positive impact on so many people both as a friend and father figure in years past. You are greatly missed Paul! Workinger family, know you all have a special place in so many of our hearts and we still mourn Paul's passing with you. While we miss him terribly, we carry on lots of fond memories of time spent with Paul and the wonderful family that grew around such a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and friend to all he met.

This was such a great memorial. It got me thinking of some of the fun trips I was able to take with the Workingers, like this trip to Vail. I don't see Paul in the picture, so he must have been behind the camera. Paul was so generous and touched so many lives. He is greatly missed and we look forward to seeing him again soon.

What a wonderful memorial for a most wonderful man! We wanted to give our condolences after the memorial, but each time Jim unmuted us I choked up and could not speak. I'm still such a cry baby! But we thank you ever so kindly for remembering us as we think of you all often when passing on the highway and see the Corvallis sign. Seeing your children grown, your grandchildren and all the loving friends and family, brought back so many wonderful memories. Clifton was born the 27th and Luke the 28th. Now these men are in their 40's! I remember Paul's loving prayers at family & friend gatherings. Heartfelt and full of love. Those prayers taught me a lot about communication with Jehovah. We can't wait to see him again. We love you Charlene. This life is just the tip of the iceberg. The life to come will be extraordinary, to say the least! XOXOXOX
