We are grateful for having had the experience to be with Paul. We will miss him always

Paul Jerome Ryan was born August 9, 1966. He was a peaceful man who loved people. As a child, he enjoyed watching televangelist programs and playing with his socks. He was a natural musician and loved to play music and sing; gospel was his favorite. He loved to celebrate and dance. He was easy going and kind and funny. Laughing was easy being around him and even in times of seriousness Paul had a subtle ability to make a comment of support; a simple observation that helped ease the stress.Paul’s career was in recycling. He liked the work because he was active, always being on his feet and moving to crush and package cans or separate and organize recyclable materials. He worked for 18 years in this career with the last two years as the Team Leader. Paul loved people and enjoyed being around people to talk with them and share his wonderful sense of humor. Paul loved life.

Paul was one of the kindest souls I had the pleasure of supporting for 20 plus years in his supported living program in Marysville, Wa . He lived in his own apartment with daily support from staff who dearly loved him. Paul was a gentle loving man who put a smile on faces of all that knew him.It was my honor to be his co- guardian for several years .Paul touched many lives and was always the first to offer comfort to his neighbors and friends be it a hug or offering them coffee. Paul will forever have a very special place in my heart and I will forever see his beautiful smile that could light up a room and make others smile. R.I.P my special friend.
