February 21st, 1951 - August 30th, 2020
Patricia Ann Dorsey, 69, passed away in her home peacefully on Sunday, August 30. Pat was born in Milford, Connecticut on February 21, 1951, to Lillian and Daniel McCabe and the second eldest of five children; Daniel, James, Thomas, and Kathleen. Pat joins her beloved brother Thomas, sister Kathleen, and parents in heaven. Pat is survived and forever loved by her husband of 29 years, Dwight; her children Erin and Hugo Uribe, William (BC) and Allison Wilson, and Grant and Renee Dorsey. She was the proud grandmother to Pierce, Claire, Cameron, and Nolan. Pat moved west to San Jose, California in 1985. Her social circles were wide, her kindness, impact, and love immeasurable. She had a way of making everyone feel like a longtime, treasured friend-even if they had just met her. Her generosity and compassion were limitless. She was the ultimate gift giver. If someone needed something, Pat would find it-and likely send ten. At work, Pat was loyal and reliable. She will be sorely missed by her colleagues in the St. Stephen's and Stratford School communities, where she worked for a majority of her career. Pat took great pride in her family. She exhibited unconditional love for her family members and cherished those relationships. She is fondly known by her family members as Patty Ann, Aunt Party, Grammy, Grandma, and Mom, rarely missing a celebration and always adding to the fun. Pat was blessed with the gift of conversation and loved entertaining friends, a good glass of white wine, and buying way too many Christmas gifts for her family. She was full of grace, strength, love and wit - even through her last days. She will be forever remembered. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. John's Program for Real Change, a charity that fights the influence of homelessness, poverty, and abuse for women and children, that was near and dear to Pat. A celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date.
