Vonda Caprice Coles Richardson

Vonda Caprice Coles Richardson passed away, at the age of 54, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. She was born on March 11, 1966 in High Point, NC, to Paul Herman Coles, Jr. and Sarah Sparks Smith. Vonda graduated from Central High School in High Point, NC (class of 84). She was a devoted and hardworking employee, servicing the Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington, DC for over 20 years. Vonda was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, Paul Leach Coles (Big Paul), Naomi Baskerville Coles (Nana), James Edward Sparks, Mattie Louise Sparks (Mama), and former spouse Norman Richardson. She is survived by her dear son Norman and her parents; second mom Earnestine, cherished sisters, Tina, Tracy, Brittany and Naomi. Other survivors include her very special aunts; Gail, Peggy, Ollie, Lovie, Jane and uncle James, along with treasured cousins, nieces, nephews, mother in law Norma Jean Gray, and a host of devoted lifelong friends. Vonda accepted Christ at an early age. She was a loving mother, an adoring daughter, elder sister, doting cousin, loyal friend and a stranger to no one. Vonda was smart, energetic, and the life and heart of every gathering. She was beautiful inside and out, and always willing to provide love, assistance and comfort. Vonda loved the Carolina Panthers and was a diehard fan of Cam Newton. She would tell everyone to “Keep Pounding.” Vonda would always make you laugh. One would say that heaven hit the “lotto” on the day Vonda ended her earthly journey to be with the Lord; and she painted the sky a Carolina blue. We know that she is sending us peace and love.
