Orville Eugene (Gene) May, 78 of Spencer, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday February 9, 2023 after a long and hard battle with health issues. He is survived by his wife Patty May, children Pamela Griffith, Rebecca (Raymond) Samples, Donald (Carol) May, Christy (Jerry) Schoolcraft, Jess (Patty) Ray, Maria(Rob) Roland, Heather Kirk, Kyle (Samantha)May, Ashley Mitchell, Josh (Sarah)May, 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, brothers Roy (Nella) May, Gary (Veronica)May, Leonard (Ramona)May and sister Doris Anne(John)Hudkins. He was preceded in death by his parents Ronel and Elva May, baby sister Linda, older brother Spencer, and grandchildren Nathan and Kaylee. Gene was a local businessman that started selling and moving mobile homes with his brothers as May Brothers in 1972. He also served his country as a member of the National Guard as a Green Berett and Paratrooper in the 1960's and 1970's. He was a man that loved to spend time with family and friends, traveling, helping others and trying new things. He always had a helping hand out to his fellow man. Gene was an amazing man, son, brother, father and grandfather. We, as a family, could not have asked for a better man to be in our lives. He will be forever greatly missed. Gene will be cremated per his wishes and a memorial service will be at a later date. Those wishing to share a story, fond memory, or their condolences can do so at MOVCremation. com (Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society).
