Ora Lynn Moore was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 1, 1954 to her parents, Dixie Bingham Jr. and Bertha Mae Bingham. Lynn, as she was affectionately called, was the second oldest and first daughter of nine children. Lynn, along with her older brother Dixie III (Nick), helped their parents raise their seven younger siblings. Lynn developed her love of reading at an early age. She would often read three to four novels a week, seriously wearing out her library card. She also developed a strong yearning for cooking. Initially, helping her mom prepare dinners for the family to eventually curating her own breakfast and dinners for her parents and siblings.
Lynn graduated from Edward Tilden High School in Chicago, IL. She continued her post-secondary education at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Later, she obtained two Masters Degrees, the first was in Education from St. Thomas University. The second was in Administration from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Lynn worked as a teacher, educator, and expert in Title I programming for Saint Paul Public Schools for over forty years. She was a co-chair for the Saint Paul Retired Teachers Inc. Scholarship Committee. In addition to serving on the Saint Paul Teachers Union Committee. Her love for education transcended beyond her retirement. She later substituted for the Saint Paul School District. Lynn was very creative. She enjoyed creating inspirational keepsakes for her family and friends. Lynn especially loved cooking, the theater, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Lynn confessed her love for Jesus and was baptized at an early age. This took place in Chicago, IL at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Clay Evans, where she served on the Usher Board for 6 years. Lynn moved to Minnesota and continued her spiritual journey at New Hope Baptist Church, St. Phillips Episcopal Church (where she and Clifford got married), and transitioned to Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she, her children, and her devoted husband of 41 years attended and participated regularly. Lynn was a Vacation Bible School (VBS) teacher, Girl Scout Troop leader, on the Christian Board of Education, a part of the Women’s Ministry, involved with the youth via the Jr. Usher Board, Praise Dance, and Children’s Church.
Lynn was a beautiful and nurturing spirit, a devoted Wife, a loving Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt, Friend, and a breast cancer survivor. Lynn’s parents, Dixie Bingham Jr. and Bertha Mae Bingham, preceded her in death, along with her twin brothers, Donald and Dennis. She is survived by her husband Clifford Moore, her four children Cliff, Joshua (LaKesha), Jonathan (Elizabeth) and Yakira (Ryan), 14 Grandchildren, 6 siblings, Dixie Bingham III (Nancy), Charita Bingham-Pruitt, DeWayne Bingham, Rochelle Bingham, Darren Bingham (Donna), Damita Jo Pryor, and the widow of Dennis Bingham (Veronica), nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a host of peoples’ lives that she touched.

A Time for Everything
3 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. 9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him. 15 Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account.[b] 16 And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment—wickedness was there, in the place of justice—wickedness was there.
17 I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-17 NLT
