Lyly was born on October 29, 2000 and passed on September 1, 2020. She is survived by her parents, Lorena and Son; two sisters, Thy and Paulina; and two dogs, Russell and Percy. She graduated John Champe High School in 2019 and studied biology for two years at Virginia Commonwealth University. A funny, strong-willed, intelligent, and kind friend, girlfriend, daughter, and sister; she brought brightness into the room with her smile and her presence will be missed. Her compassion always resonated with everyone she met. She had a love for learning new and obscure topics, always sharing her fun facts with everyone. She loved talking with her friends late into the night and spending her time playing videos games with them. Lyly's love of adventure, trying new things, and fearlessness were well-known and endearing characteristics. She was always ready to tackle things head-on and a go-getter, never letting anything stop her from doing what she wanted. While she may not be physically with us, her memory will live on in those who loved her.

Many of my fondest memories were made with Nicole. Words cannot justly explain how truly wonderful she was. Wicked smart and very witty, she was always ready for a debate- and when you inevitably lost that debate, she wouldn't let you forget!! Thinking back on our memories never fails to make me laugh, like the time we both got poison oak all over our hands and faces, our "speed drawing" contests, after school art classes, Kings Dominion trips, going to the movies, trick or treating, and countless others. How lucky I am to have had the pleasure to grow up with such an extraordinary friend. I will forever cherish the memories we made together. Rest in peace Lyly. The world will not be the same without you.

Forever warm, bright and funny, Ly was easily the sweetest and loving person I've had the pleasure to have as part of my life. I only knew her online, and my heart is with everyone that knew that bright beautiful person in real life. Ever since meeting her in 2014, to catching up in 2016 and becoming close friends throughout these past four years, she was always someone who just...gave you energy and happiness, you know? It was impossible to have her around and not smile or feel content, and she would always let you know she loved you. Even now, that brings a smile to my face. Her birthday was on October 29th and mine is on October 30th. I'm from the '99 so we would have one whole day where we were the same age before I turned one year older, and we would always joke around about that. Because of that we always remembered each other's birthday, and I don't think that's ever going to change for me. I'll remember our birthday every year, Lyly. I promise. All the movies, series, games and interests we shared will be a memento of everything she was to me, even without all these things, she's not someone you can just forget, and that's very present on my mind and most importantly, on my heart. Ly, I love you my friend. Thank you so much for everything you did for me, for all of us, and I hope that wherever you are, you are in peace. We will miss you greatly and always remember you.

I wasn't really one of Ly's closest friends, but I miss her presence every day nonetheless. Everytime we talked I enjoyed it, and I always loved listening to her talk about her interests and hearing her stories and all of that. She seriously was an amazing friend and I know she made so many people happy. I can only hope that she rests well and finds peace and happiness now. She will be forever loved and missed

The most amazing person I've ever had in my life. Always so kind so friendly so loving. When we first started dating I remember how happy I felt to have Ly as my girlfriend. and 2 years later I still felt so happy. Meeting Ly for the first time was amazing, the energy she had when we texted and called was all the same in person, except amplified by her warmness and love. I never tired of telling her that I loved her any chance i got. When we first met in New York i was so nervous, but I was so thankful for the opportunity. Going to museums and various places walking in each others company was so warming and I am so thankful for that moment. Seeing her again in San Francisco was so refreshing, I missed her very much and I wanted to see her every day. I love everything about LyLy including her laughter, when she would share her interests it always made me so happy to hear about what she liked. Thank you LyLy for being my girlfriend, for being my best friend, for allowing me to love you as much as i could. Thank you for being a huge part of my life, you will always be. Rest now sweetheart we'll always love you 💕

Ly was an amazing person to be around. her smile was always so radiant and so was her personality. I was always intrigued by the things she would talk about and the things she would show me. I always thought it was cool how much she knew and how curious she was about the world around her. I truly believe she could be anything she wanted to be and I appreciate how she would always believe in me too. Even though I never met her I felt a genuine connection with her be it through talking about our culture or just playing video games with her. Her jokes would always make me laugh and even today I still look back to laugh and cherish the moments we had together. I love you so much Ly thank you for being my friend, I will miss you forever and ever. I hope you are resting in peace my dear friend.
