Nicole Petit-Homme was born on July 6, 1952, to Lousinte George Brave-Alce and Silversine Eutrope in Port de Paix, Haiti; but grew up in Cap-Haitien, Haiti.

In 1970, while residing in the Bahamas, Nicole met her future husband, Nelson. She caught his eyes when she was singing in the Bethany Baptist Church Choir with her angelic voice. They fell in love and got married and on January 23, 1972, they welcomed Nelda, their firstborn, to the world. In late 1972 Nelson, Nicole, and Nelda moved to South Florida where they began the next stage of their lives together and had five more kids. Nelson and Nicole ultimately had six children born to them in their over 50 years of marriage.

Nicole Petit-Homme is survived by Her Children: Nelda, Nethy, Neil, Nevins, Newlyn, and Nanson. Her Children-in-law: Austine, Chiquita, and Edeline. Her Grandchildren: Kevin, Leota, Juanita, Nasondra, Joevone, Kelsey, Kionda, Nanson Elijah, Natalya, Nia-Nicole, William, and one more grandson due August 15, 2021. Her siblings: Tiya, Lifin, Emmanuel, Tousina, Gesner, and Yolaine. Her Cousins: Margaret, Ginette, Steve, Janine, Rodley, Elsie, Claudia, Edouard, and many more. Her Nephews and Nieces: Lecenia, George, Marlen, Naila, Michael, Jackie P., Harvey, Antionette, Francis, David, Elcy, Kerlanda, Keisha, Kendra, Jimmy, Gerald, Jerel, Ferrel, Emmanuela, Dian, Jack M., Joy, Gertha, Gladice, Ruth, Wilfrid, Kerby, Romain, and many more. Her Close Friends: Zizi Family, sir Carmen, sir Rose, sir Jean, the members of the international church called the Body of Christ, and soo many more…

Nicole loved God, gardening, Decorating, singing, cooking, sewing, and helping people. Equally so, she loved her family. She would often overlap most of her loves to form her passion in life. She could not help enjoying one without tying in the others. There have been many times when family and friends would visit; she would simultaneously teach them about the plants in her garden while telling them about God. It came naturally to her. You would simply learn to accept both of her teachings because you would not get one without the other.

Nicole had an unmatched eye for creativity. Her style and diverse forms of expression have always been on display in her creative masterpieces, which were always elegant, poise, fashionable, sophisticated, trendy, tasteful, classy, and very unique. Nicole made special events spectacular. Weddings, in particular, she exceeded dreams while making it affordable.

She was a very good chef (making dishes from different cultures), a seamstress (she often made outfits for both her and others), a Botanist/Green thumb (not only did she grow plants, but she knew their medicinal properties), and loves cleanliness. She was a very hard worker.

Nicole Petit-Homme was loved by all, respected by all, honored by all, and will be greatly missed by all those that have been blessed to have known her.
