I spent a couple of months with Neil in 2006.I am from Canada and Neil had placed an add for a driver. He was a good man and he loved his daughter Kayla. Several times a week I would take Neil to the pool in Port Charlotte for therapy. He also wanted a door installed where his patio doors were,so with his knowledge and my work we got it done.we also delivered a car up north that he sold to one of his friends.I would phone Neil from time to time to stay in touch. He was a character . I would like to speak with Kayla but have not been able to find her. Neil will be my friend forever.

Dear Neil, You will be sorely missed. I always appreciated your openness on any subject and your quick wit. You had quite a few far-out ideas like building a hovercraft or speedboat, firing a black-powder musket or just kayaking down alligator creek. Very fun. I am proud of you for building your own house and for your daughter. You did good. I knew that I could always rely on you for straight and honest answers on any subject. You would always stick to your convictions even if it made me feel uncomfortable. With love, Chris

May Neil be remembered as fondly as he was loved by his family and his friends. As Roland B. Gittelsohn wrote: "In the rising of the sun and in its going down, we remember them. In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them. In the opening of buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them. In the blueness of the sky and in the warmth of summer, we remember them. In the rustling of leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember them. In the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them. When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them. When we have joys we yearn to share, we remember them. So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are now a part of us as we remember them." I hope those who grieve for Neil find some solace in the memories and love you possess for him. May he rest well.
