Murlin B Van Allen
December 25th, 1933 - April 1st, 2019
December 25th, 1933 - April 1st, 2019
Forever in our hearts and minds.
For most of his life, Murlin Van Allen (Papa), had 3 core values that drove him to become the wonderful human we all knew: Christ, Family and Carpentry. His devotion to Christ and the Seventh-day Adventist church was undeniable. As was his devotion to his late wife (Marlene), his kids (Tony, Tad, Robin, Cindy), and the rest of his family. And as we all know Murlin put his blood sweat and tears into his profession of carpentry and home improvement and was better at it than anyone else we will probably ever know. These core values led Murlin to live a positive and fulfilling life with many memories that many of us will never forget. Murlin was born in Bauer, Michigan and would later move his family to San Diego, CA. He was one of those people that always did the right thing and went above and beyond to help others, yet wanted no recognition. He led a good life because it was part of who he was. We will never forget his always-positive attitude towards life and the laughter he brought us all. His love for his garden and growing vegetables. His love for his dogs and cats throughout the years. His love for his cars and trucks. His love for Jesus. His love for his profession. And most of all his love for his family. We all love you so much Murlin and thank you for leading such an admirable life that can inspire us all to be better people. Rest well Papa until you join Jesus in Heaven, and know how much we all love and miss you.
