Uzair Jamil

Our beloved daidy was a generous impactful man who left a sweet memory on everyone that he met. He is someone we should all look up to. His blessed life which he spread love and respect to all his loved ones. We should cherish the memories which we had with him to honour his presence. I would do anything to have one last convo with my dear grandfather. To tell him how much I love him and to massage his head and hands one more time. To hear him say my name and kiss him goodbye on his forehead. I love you so much daidy. O Allah, grant him Jannah tul firdous and expand his grave and illuminate it with Your light. Grant him peace and eternal rest and let us reunite with him in Your eternal paradise. Ameen.

One memory I will always cherish and always smile upon is saying my salaams to daidy. Although it may sound like a small and insignificant act, I vividly remember walking into the front room and seeing daidy watching the pakistan cricket ( usually with a solemn face as we always lose) and drinking a cup of chai. But when I came up to him to say Salaam his face would light up and he would say the same 5 words to me " Dani you are getting fat". I would then shake his hand and awkwardly smile, and say " uhhhh errrm no". Now looking back it, I would do anything to say Salaam to him again and hear the same 5 words, but reply in a different tone. I love you infinitely daidy, I hope you are resting and at peace now. May Allah grant you the highest ranks of Jannah tul firdous. Ameen

Though he was my Nana, I always called him Daidy because of the profound impact he had on my life. He was both sweet and stern, a perfect balance that shaped my upbringing. Whenever I was sad, he would offer me a candy, a small gesture that meant the world to me. Our most cherished moments were spent in Aldgate, where we bonded deeply about food and a bunch of guy stuff. He will forever be remembered as the best grandfather ever. Love you, Daidy. May Allah grant you the highest ranks in Jannah. Ameen

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon. Indeed to Him we belong and to Him we will return. My grandfather was one of the most amazing, strong, and kind people I have ever known. When I think of him, my heart warms and overflows with beautiful memories of my childhood. He came to the UK as a young man, determined to build a better life for our family. Through hard work and perseverance, he succeeded and created a loving home for us all. One of my favourite memories with him is the time I was hiding in his cupboard to scare him. I was so sure I had outsmarted him, giggling quietly behind the frosted glass cupboard windows and when he opened the closet door, he pretended to be surprised, but I could tell from his eyes that he had known i was there the whole time because he was always 10 steps ahead of everyone else. I feel so blessed to have had him in my life and am grateful for all the love and wisdom he has bestowed upon me. Although I do wish I could get just ten more minutes to talk to him or to hear him laugh. I know he’s in better place now and I can imagine him chuckling sharing stories of all his grandchildren and children with his own parents and grandparents. I hope we can all live up to him and carry on his legacy and be a sadqah jariyah for him. He was our patriarch and our role model. You will be missed Nana. May Allah SWT make it easy for you and reunite us all with you in Jannatul Firdaws. Ameen.

He is not just a grandfather to me but a friend. I remember all the times we spent talking about my cricket games. His eyes would light up as I shared my victories and defeats on the field i remember all those head and neck massages i gave to him, they were the best. Those quiet moments of connection, were filled with unspoken love and understanding. It was our way of showing Today, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Daidyfor all the love, support, and care he has showered upon me. His presence in my life is a blessing that I will forever I love you so much Daidy you’re in a better place now. May Allah give you the highest ranks of jannah, jannah tul firdous. Ameen

و عليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته انا لله وانا اليه راجعون May Allah grant your beloved father the highest abode in Jannat Al Firdaus and grant sabr to your family. May Allah provide maghfirat without any questioning to your beloved father and May Allah widen his Qabr and illuminate his Qabr with His Noor by making it a garden of Jannah. May Allah reunite us all with our Marhoomeen in Jannah when we depart this temporary dunya. Subhan'Allah, the fact that his family were always by his side shows how great Uncle Mohammed Saleem was and this is also evident from such a caring and loving family that he leaves behind temporarily until Allah reunites them in Aakhirah. He worked so hard and raised such a noble family in the UK, which is a real scarcity in the current times we live in. A remarkable man who selflessly sacrificed his comfort for his family. I know that Samran truly loved his father and appreciated everything that his father did for their entire family. In sha Allah, as an extremely obedient son you will be certainly rewarded in abundance for serving your father to the end of this chapter of life.
