Minnie Elizabeth Voss

Minnie Elizabeth Voss, age 90 of Ferndale, Michigan passed away on October 11, 2023, in her home of 63 years. She was born on January 30, 1933, in Verona Township, Michigan to Ralph and Mary Rothe.

Loving mother to Terrence Voss (Cynthia), Vicky Voss Wishaw, Robin Voss Crawford (Ernie), and David Voss. Dear Grandmother to Dawn (Eric), Kristina, Jason, Kevin (Leslee), Dannielle (Chris), Rick (Amy). Great Grandmother to Joshua, Angelica, Veronica, Christopher, Ethan, Owen, Ryan, Stella, Myranda, Kenzie, Katlyn. Great, Great, Grandmother to Lily and Lucas plus many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law to Phyllis (Karl) and preceded in death by her husband Leo Voss,parents Ralph and Mary Rothe, brother Daniel Rothe, sister Lilly Rothe, brother Bill Rothe (Ann), sister Elsie Indo (Alvin).

Minnie was raised in Grindstone City and graduated from Port Austin High School. She married the love of her life, Leo Voss, on September 10, 1955, and they had four children plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Throughout her career,she worked as a bank teller (her first job), the drug store where she worked the front register and Leo worked the pharmacy, two Cleaners, and a few other jobs throughout her career. She loved going to the casino in Las Vegas, and then, the casinos in Detroit as often as she could.

She will be missed dearly by her family and friends who knew and loved her.

There will be no visitation or service. Her ashes will be placed with her husband at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
