Mr. Jacob’s will always be loved by many, I remember last year, going to English class and happy to see him, but also I would see him so much this year, he would always be sitting in the hallway as a hall monitor and he’d always see me and smile and laugh, even a week of two before, and he always had a smile on his face and it will never be forgotten. He’d always make your day better. I remember last year, during English class he’d call his daughter and let me talk to her about an upcoming play she had, I’d tell her she was gonna do good and she got this. He was a very trusted adult and a trusted human. My adolescence go out to his family and friends and everybody who knew him.

Coach Jacobs had a way of connecting with his students. He was a leader and had their best interests always at the forefront. I will never forget him scooping up my son after being injured on the soccer field and calmly carrying him off. Amidst all the chaos, he was there. Coach Jacobs was such a presence. We appreciated his dedication and his character. We pray that he rests now and is surrounded with peace. We pray for his family and his friends to find solace and love during this time of grief. Rest easy now, friend.

Jacobs was an unbelievable man. He was the light and guidance I needed as a boy in search of a father figure. He was the epitome of “actions speak louder than words.” He taught me how to fight, how to not feel sorry for myself, and how to be a man. It breaks my heart I won’t be able to call him anymore when I need some help, but he has imprinted his ways into my own and I only strive to be half the man he was. I will forever be grateful for him and his memory will live forever in my heart. Miss you, coach! SHAG EM!!!!!!

Dean Jacob’s as I knew him, and I first met when I was a sophomore in highschool at a ripe 15 years old, I remember clear as day a meeting in which him, myself, and my father were sitting in his office debating wether or not to transfer schools after that semester due to a bullying issue, he and my father both taught me the importance of standing your ground in the midst of adversity and the weight of not running away from adversity but running through it and taking all the hits until you get to the other side. I pray for his wife and children that they may find comfort in the amazing human being their husband/father was. Rest in peace dean Jacobs.

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are. That is what Mike was to me and my sons. Thanks for always being there. It’s not “goodbye by friend”…….its……. “I’ll see you when I see you”. Love Always, Lumie Emini
