He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Michael was an avid photographer, lover of sports of all kinds, and enjoyed being with his family and friends.

He was a Passaic Valley High School graduate from 1985 and kept in contact and was loved by many classmates from those years. At one time, he lived in California where he graduated from the Universal Technical Institute and worked as an auto mechanic for several years. Upon returning to New Jersey, he worked at the Lowe's in Newton where he forged wonderful friendships. He is described as an "all around good guy who always cared about the people he knew and made everyone laugh because he had such a great sense of humor".

Michael is survived by his sister, Theresa Fogel (nee Winters); brother, Salvatore DeSiervo; brother-in-law, Steve Fogel; sister-in-law, Colleen DeSiervo (nee Koch); plus nephew and nieces, Gavin Fogel, Emmy DeSiervo, Abby DeSiervo, Maddie Fogel, and Norah DeSiervo.
