Loved Ones

Forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace

Michael Gordon Hickle was born July 24, 1957 in Dayton, OH to his mother Donna Hickle & his father George Hickle. He spent most of childhood in the Dayton, OH neighborhood known as Hell's Half Acre on Warrendale Ave. Many memories were made at this time with his parents, brother Brad, grandmother Jessie Roberts, uncle Larry Roberts & 3 cousins Mark, Jeff and Daryl Grubb. By the age of 16, Michael became a printmaker at B&T Printing while still attending Stebbins High School which would lead to a 46 year career in the industry. In 1975, he met Cindy Hickle on a blind date leading to their marriage in 1976. In 1979, their first son Brandon was born & again in 1981 their second son Wesley was born. Michael would continue to work in the printing industry for many years to support his family. His time away from work was spent teaching his sons sports, fishing with family & friends & going to nascar races. 1998 delivered Mike's first Harley Davidson, a Road King, which he was immensely proud of & started the Harley tradition within the family. In 2003, he traded the Road King in for a 100th Anniversary Harley Ultraglide and put many miles on with Cindy for many years. By 2015, his first grand child Bella was born to Brandon and Caroline. His 2nd grand child Forest was born in 2019 to Wes & Christina. Finally his 3rd grand child Merlin was born in 2020. He loved his grandchildren dearly & they loved deeply as well. In late 2019, he retired from the print world at US Playing Cards after more than 4 decades in the field. In late 2020, Michael & Cindy moved to Cadiz, KY into a new beautiful home on Lake Barkley. His bit of retirement was spent on the lake with the boat he & Cindy were so proud of. Michael fell ill with cancer in the summer of 2023, moved back to Cincinnati and spent his remaining days with Cindy, Brandon, Wesley, Christina, Caroline, Bella, Merlin & Forest. He will be forever missed & never forgotten.

A service for Michael is not yet scheduled but one will be organized in the near future. Thanks for your patience.

Below you will find a donation opportunity for the Land Between the Lakes national park that Mike and Cindy spent much of their time exploring by boat or by foot over the last few years. The elk and bison prairie was one of Mike's favorite places to visit within the park. You have the opportunity to support this beautiful piece of land in Mike's memory.

And please share your memories of Michael below through words and pictures. Thank you!
