Michael Jay Bock

Michael "Mike" Jay Bock passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Phoenix, AZ due to complications following a heart attack. We are deeply saddened for his passing, and also relieved he is no longer in pain or struggle. Mike was warm-hearted, strong, protective, loyal, reliable, and humorous, and we will always miss and love him.

Mike was born July 23, 1970 at Clark Air Force Base in Angeles city, the Philippines. His hometown was Barrackville, WV where he attended Barrackville Elementary and Middle School. Mike graduated from North Marion High School in 1988. While he traveled through much of the United States during his life, Mike made the greater Phoenix area his home for the remaining decades.

Mike served as a Petty Officer Third Class from 1992 to 1998 in the U.S. Navy.  After this service, he worked in construction in Reno NV, then as a mechanic in Ridgecrest CA. Mike was employed at Fedex at the Phoenix airport, then became a limo driver for several years. He then worked as a vineyard manager, and lastly, a commercial driver. Mike obtained certificates in welding and motorcycle mechanics, and was a commercially licensed driver.

He was a member of the VFW in Sunsites, AZ. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, firearms/weaponry, motorcycles, rock-hounding, wine, cigars, reading/watching westerns, and also spending time with friends and family.

Mike leaves behind his mother, Bing Bock, father Dwayne "DJ" Bock, brother Eugene "Gene" Bock, sisters JoAnn Clements, Deborah "Debbie" Goss, and Kristen Bock, brother-in-law Bruce Goss, nieces and nephews, Victoria (Casey) and Maevery, Sophie, Adam, Preston (Cassandra), and Forrest, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and caring friends.
