Melvin Vincent Bramlette passed away unexpectedly on October 5th at the age of 47 in Fremont, CA. He was attended by his children, Ethan and Mikaila, at his time of passing. Mel was born on October 2nd, 1973 to Herbert Mundel Bramlette and Christina Yu Chin Soong in Oakland, CA. He grew up in Castro Valley, graduated from Hayward High School, and went on to earn a B.S. in Criminal Justice at San Jose State University in 1998. After graduation, he began his career as a fraud investigator at eBay, before joining Wells Fargo in 2000 - where he worked across the firm for the past 20 years. Mel was a lifelong resident of the Bay Area and an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He was a big kid at heart and loved spending time with his children, visiting theme parks, and watching the latest Star Wars flick. Mel is survived by his daughter Mikaila Jade Bramlette (age 19), his son Ethan Theodore Bramlette (age 7), his mother Christina Yu Chin Soong, his sister Kelly Ann Lum, his stepmother Evelyn Bramlette, and his stepbrother Andrew-Evans Pineda Gaerlan. I interviewed Mel when he first joined the bank. Afterwards he told me I had made him very nervous! Luckily I didn't scare him off, and he accepted the job and joined our department. Mel was a great coworker and a good person. I wish I had a photo to share of our team in those early days. While we all moved to new roles over the years, so many of the team stayed in touch and stayed friends. Gone too soon. Veronica
