Melisa Watson
1973 - 2020
1973 - 2020
Melisa was a dear friend and colleague who was taken from us too soon. She was bright, cheerful, and full of hope, an inspiration who lived and battled with her disease until the end. Melisa was always kind, selfless, and fearlessly authentic and her easy laugh and quick smile helped her build meaningful friendships and relationships.
It was a privilege to have our journey through life intersected with such a beautiful human being, and the fact that her passing has touched so many so deeply is a tribute to the light she always carried. Melisa was a wonderful spirit and will be deeply missed.

I was so very sad to hear the news of Melissa's passing. She was way too young to leave us so soon. I worked with Melissa on some very high stakes projects for Genentech. She was my go-to gal for the variety of problems and challenges that always pop up with these things. She always made me laugh with her sharp wit and sassy sense of humor and she never got flustered when the stress level peaked, she just dug in and persevered. I will miss her terribly and send her family prayers of comfort and condolences during the shocking and trying time.

A beautiful person who leaves a huge void. I’m glad to have made meaningful connections and lots of laughs. Gone too soon but rest in heaven!

Dearest Melisa thank you for the light, energy, joy and laughs you always brought to me and the people who were blessed to know you. I'm going to miss going to a sorority event, and hearing your high-pitched voice in the room. I know the spirit is eternal and I hope wherever you are, you are surrounded by love and peace. Thank you for the gem of wisdom you left us that one of your loved ones shared during the celebration of your life. Which is life can kick you down, but you don't have to be invincible, what matters is you get up. I'll keep that mind during my journey and to live life fully like you. My condolences to all who loved you. Rest in Peace Soror. God Bless.

Really missing Mel today, I miss her squeaky voice calling me at some unexpected hour to just shoot the s*** or because she wanted to talk through a work scenario. Mel and I had a rocky start but a rock sold foundation at the end; losing her is probably the worst part of 2020 so far....and we all know it has not been a great year.

Melisa, you were such a fun, loving spirit. You are loved and missed.

God called home an Angel, but I won't question God's plan. Rest in Heaven Melisa...
