I am so sorry to just find out today of Matt's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor and I used to enjoy our visits every now and again, and chatting about a myriad of topics. He was very helpful to us with a couple of real estate matters, and I was very much enjoying his ferocious venture into the world of art and painting, and was looking forward to his continuing maturation as an artist as well as saving my pennies for a future purchase. I was looking forward to checking in to see how he was doing with his art and am so sorry to hear that he is gone. Good-bye, lovely Matt. The world was definitely a better place when you were in it.

I was truly shocked and saddened to hear about Matt's translation, and will be forever in his debt for having taken it upon himself to employ vast amounts of patience and kindness to help me get through what was truly the darkest time of my life. I know for a fact that he helped many other people get through their own "dark night of the soul," so we can at least draw solace from the fact that the amount of good karma he built up in his lifetime surely paved the way for a smooth entrance into the next phase of his existence, where I am also sure he has found a cool new place to go surfing. RIP Matt, thanks for literally saving my life and NAMASTE! P.S. -- Picture is from our fun-but-short-lived band THE MADGLADS.

Matty I have missed you so much! We had so many more adventures that needed to happen! It had been way too long since I had seen you!! I know your glorious energy is swimming around in the universe, and you are surrounded in that golden delicious light that you shine on all of us…Say hello to my Dad while your there…you’re probably continuing all those philosophical chats you two enjoyed in our deck in Mill Valley. I will miss your gorgeous smile and absolute passion for life. Shine on you Crazy Diamond I love you forever and always ❤️❤️ Terra

You are a special soul and are deeply loved and missed. Soar free in light, love and peace. John Muir: “If my soul could get away from this so-called prison, be granted all the list of attributes generally bestowed on spirits, my first ramble on spirit-wings would not be among the volcanoes of the moon. Nor should I follow the sunbeams to their sources in the sun. I should hover about the beauty of our own good star. I should not go moping among the tombs, not around the artificial desolation of men. I should study Nature's laws in all their crossings and unions; I should follow magnetic streams to their source and follow the shores of our magnetic oceans. I should go among the rays of the aurora, and follow them to their beginnings, and study their dealings and communions with other powers and expressions of matter. And I should go to the very center of our globe and read the whole splendid page from the beginning. But my first journeys would be into the inner substance of flowers, and among the folds and mazes of Yosemite's falls. How grand to move about in the very tissue of falling columns, and in the very birthplace of their heavenly harmonies, looking outward as from windows of ever-varying transparency and staining! - John of the Mountains”
