Mary Sue was so delightful and didn’t mind poking fun at herself. One day when we saw her (sometime after she graduated high school), she looked at my husband and me and said, “Fun fact.” This was always a time to pay attention! “Washington state and Washington DC are in opposite sides of the US. Who knew?” We all just laughed. It still makes me smile today. She was always ready to learn something new and share it with others and laugh together!
