Loved Ones

  • Mary Jane Solano (Jane), 80 years old, of Durham, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 15th 2024.
  •  Mary was born in in Stella, Missouri on January 24th 1944, she graduated from High school in Rabun County Georgia before making her way back to California where she continued her education at Oxnard community college earning a degree in accounting.
  • Mary was married to Joseph E. Solano on August 11th 1977; they were married for 40 wonderful years.
  • Mary worked as an accountant prior to becoming a wonderful mother, a teacher to her children, a guiding light throughout life and home maker for her family. She enjoyed feeding her farm animals on Farmville, tending to her garden, quilting, crossword puzzles, watching the Hallmark channel, listening to oldies, country music, reading books and spending time with family! Her latest hit song was “We don’t talk about Bruno, a song Alyssa loves to listen to”, we love her version of the song the most that she would sing just a little bit different.

How did you meet Mary?

Mary Jane is my cousin. The last time we played together was 74 years ago in Grandma Forlines front yard in Santa Paula. I am so glad that we got to reconnect through chats and so sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet up again after so many years. I will always love family. Fly high with the Angels my dear cousin.
