Mary Morgan

The Memorial Dinner was held at Tien Kue Chinese Restaurant. We had a private area in the back of the restaurant and Mom had eaten there exactly one week ago. 14 guests were present. Marisa had made a little album of pictures from her mother's life. After dinner we opened a bottle of champagne. Marisa gave the toast. We are here tonight to celebrate the life of Mary Morgan, My mother. She was a high energy woman who loved and cared for all types of animals from wooley monkeys to tropical fish. I remember giving her a bucket of baby fish to care for while I was away on a trip and she worried herself silly over them. She enjoyed travelling and was always on the go. Dad used to call us the "go go girls". Her lifelong dream was to go to Egypt and sail on the Nile. She could close her eyes and imagine what life was like in ancient times. I am glad she was able to go. Her advice was almost always sound, and she was a good friend and confidant to me. She always kept her promises. Right up to the end she was active and enjoyed her life, eating exotic foods and caring about the world around her. We will miss her. Here's to mom, she had a great life
