Martin was to many of us the man behind the camera, the talented engineer, the friendly A&R, the meticulous video editor, the karaoke master, a son, and a friend. A man who bore an innumerable amount of talents. He made everyone around him better with his humble spirit and friendly character. In many instances you would catch Martin sitting quietly absorbing everything that was going on around him, making sure that people felt heard. But no matter what room he was in, his energy was comforting to all.

The people Martin impacted throughout his lifetime–be it artists, co-workers, fellow servicemen, loved ones or his friends–will last a lifetime, while his impact on the music he engineered and shaped will impact generations to come.

This page is dedicated to honor Martin’s life and the many ways he left a print on our hearts. Please share your favorite photos and memories for all to remember him by.

When I met Martin working at a music studio in Los Angeles, I was met by his outgoing, excited, friendly, kind, generous and positive self. He was funny, so smart, and always eager to share and connect. He was big energy, and such a bright light... always inspiring. He was giving of his knowledge, and helped you in anyway he could. He will live in the beautiful memories we all have of him. I'll miss him too.

Martin was one of the most talented, hard working people i've ever had the opportunity to work with. Constantly upping his craft whether it be video, audio, or something between. He always brought a positive light to whatever room he was in, was able to read energy & feed what was going on. A genuine & charismatic soul, something very rare especially in the industry we work in. I feel gutted that Martin isn't around to help accomplish all the amazing ideas we had for the upcoming year and beyond, but I am thankful for the time spent & impact he's made.

Martin was a kind soul who was full of positive energy. He and I crossed paths a few times at the recording studio where we both worked. One afternoon, I was backing out of the parking lot at the studio. My car malfunctioned and all of the air bags went off. Martin was there and ready to help. He worked the driver and passenger air bags back into their spaces and used gaff tape to seal them off so the car was at least drivable. I thanked him profusely and he just smiled, said you’re welcome and gave me some tips for repair. Thank you, Martin. The world lost a good one. God speed.

Martin was a great guy who I met while working at a studio in West Hollywood. He was always good for a laugh, liked to prank coworkers, and always tried to make each day fun. He was never shy about sharing his knowledge, and was always pushing himself to learn more and try new things. I'll miss him.

Over the past two years, Martin and I developed what I'd like to think was not just a co-worker relationship, but a friendship that I will forever cherish. When I think about Martin, the first word that comes to my mind is kind. He exuded kindness, positivity, good-naturedness, understanding, empathy, and compassion. He was intelligent and so impressive to listen to--and he really was a lucky guy--he truly loved what he did. When he spoke about our artists or music, he lit up, and you could feel his enthusiasm--and that enthusiasm was contagious. He was hardworking and the truest of team players. He truly was the guy that everyone loved and loved to be around. He also had a calming presence. I loved and always looked forward to our conversations. He had a soothing and comforting quality in his tone that made me believe that no matter what, everything would be alright. The last time I saw Martin was a week ago and he gave me the biggest bear hugs at the beginning and end of the night and for quite a while. I can still feel those hugs. I'm going to hold that feeling and those hugs in my heart always. I will really, really miss him.
