Marlene Annette Hyson

Marlene Hyson, age 71, passed away on November 19, 2024.

She was born in Detroit, MI, on January 20, 1953, to the late Robert William Hyson and Doris Annette (Fester) Hyson.

Marlene was the beloved sister of Daniel Robert Hyson and Patricia Ann Collins, and the late Karen Lee (Hyson) Treakle and Kevin Robert Hyson. 

While Marlene never had children of her own, she was like a second mother to her nephew, Shaun, providing him with love, guidance, and support throughout his life.

Marlene's professional career included her role as an Administrative Assistant/Manager, a position she held until health issues led her to step back from work in recent years. 

She was a passionate and dedicated volunteer, deeply involved in fundraising efforts and giving her time to causes she believed in.

Outside of work and volunteerism, Marlene had a variety of interests that enriched her life. She had a deep love for music and movies, often immersing herself in the arts. She was also an avid cook and baker, delighting friends and family with her culinary creations. 

Marlene had a special fondness for Asian-inspired décor, which reflected her eclectic and vibrant personality.

Marlene will be missed by all who knew her for her kind heart, her generosity, and the love she so freely gave to others. Her legacy of warmth, creativity, and dedication to her family will live on in the memories she leaves behind.
