"I have found the one whom my soul loves." Song of Solomon 3:4

It is with a mix of tears and laughter that we remember Mark Steven Srenaski, who passed away on August 27, 2025, in Salem, OR. Born in Green Bay, WI, Mark was known for his loyalty, integrity, directness, and sense of humor. He loved making connections, sharing joy, and making people laugh.

Mark spent most of his career in IT before switching to real estate appraisal, founding American Dream Appraisals, a venture he was proud of. His professional journey was marked not just by success but by the integrity, kindness, and humor he brought to every interaction, making a positive impact on those he worked with.

To his family and friends, Mark was a blend of humor and heart. His favorite phrase, "You know, there are more horse's asses than horses in this world!" always came with a twinkle in his eye and that big, booming laugh we all cherished and couldn't help but join in on. He was a funny, mischievous, self-deprecating teaser with a huge heart and loved making others laugh. Mark's playful spirit brought light into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Mark was a man of many interests. He loved watching Fox News, passionately debated politics (perhaps a bit too passionately at times!), and treasured his travels to beautiful places such as Maui, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, and San Diego. He was a man of faith and loved his church family, often serving as an usher or on the campus security team. His loyalty to the Green Bay Packers was unwavering, and he was never shy about sharing his thoughts on their performance!

Mark was also a proud Eagle Scout, a testament to his commitment to leadership and community, values he instilled in those around him. He remained sober for an impressive 38 years, serving as a mentor and sponsor to many in Alcoholics Anonymous. Many claim that without Mark, they wouldn't be sober and thriving today. His commitment to helping others find their paths to sobriety is a testament to his character and will forever be a part of his legacy.

Mark's wife, Christie, has described his deep love for her as "humbling". He was truly "God's love with skin on". He was a proud father to his two daughters, Amy Wolfe and Lori Stock, and a dedicated brother to his siblings Julie Namz, Sue Vine, Randy Srenaski, Kevin Srenaski, Doug Srenaski, and Kim Felton. The Srenaski family is a large and loving clan, filled with countless relatives (too many to mention, unfortunately!) who adored him, and the feeling was mutual. Family was everything to Mark.

Though he is no longer with us, Mark's spirit, laughter, and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. So let us remember him in joy, laughter, and the good times shared. Those who knew him are invited to share stories, memories, photos, etc., here on this site (click on the "Leave a tribute" button), to keep his memory alive forever.

Mark and I are second cousin's, Mark is 29 days older than me so I've known him my entire life. We were in scouts together and did many things together.in our younger years. One of my most memorable things was when I got to stay overnight at their house. It was a Saturday night. In the morning Mark's dad said okay boys we're going to church. So off to St. Joseph's Catholic we go. Well I was Lutheran and never.bern in a Catholic Church before. The mass was in Latin 🤔 and I had no clue what the standing and kneeling now was all about. Mark was laughing because I had no idea what I was doing. After Mass we went to holy name society breakfast. When I got home I told my Mom I was going to be a Catholic. I don't understand a word they say or why they stand then kneel but when that stuff is done they really feed you good. Mark laughed and his dad just smiled. My Mom was raised Catholic but she changed for my Dad. My Dad had stopped going to Church so my Mom went back to the Catholic Church and had my sister's Patti, Teri and myself Baptized in the Catholic Church. I was 8 years old. We had many good times together in our younger years but drifted apart when we were older. I never forgot to wish Mark happy birthday on May 3rd every year and although we didn't do things together any longer he had always been in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Mark❤️

Christie and I became friends at work many years ago and Mark worked there also back then. That's how I originally met him. As I think back, there were many times where we were all at fun work functions and birthday parties for mutual friends, etc. I have a couple of old pics I'll share here (sorry for the condition, this before the digital age :) ) When I think of Mark, I always think of him as half of the beautiful marriage he shared with Christie. I know he has left a big hole here on Earth, especially in Christie's life, but I also know that he is with Jesus now and that she will one day see him again.

Hello all. Mark and I worked at VSP together. He was assigned as the architect over a system I supported. We worked well together and I grew to appreciate his knowledge and his tenacity to make the right decisions for VSP’s Infrastructure. The biggest benefit in working with Mark was we developed a friendship. Mark was a good man with a wonderful sense of humor that would brighten your day. I send my condolences to his family and his beloved wife. ❤️

The first time I met you and Mark was when I greeted at the Rock. Mark was always pleasant to be around. He was the kind of person that his look could convey what needed to be said. I liked Mark he will be missed.
