Mark Oldfield current resident of Oviedo Fl passed away on December 15th. Mark was born on November 19, 1948 in Bakersfield CA. He moved to the Cambrian Park area in San Jose where he grew up with his three brothers, Greg, Byron and Randy and sister, Cindy. He was a graduate of Camden High School and West Valley College. Mark was a very proud Army combat paratrooper assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division and then served in Vietnam 1968/69 with the 173rd Airborne Brigade which shaped the rest of his life. Always a sheepdog, Mark worked in Security and spent his career at Lockheed as a Program Security Manager (He always said "the original Lockheed") There he met his wife Tina. They had 2 children. Allyson Andersen (Cody) and Bryce Oldfield along with 2 grandchildren. Rhys and Forrest Andersen. Mark and family lived in Gilroy/Hollister CA and later moved to Harrogate, England traveling often and making some lifelong friends along the way, eventually settling in Monument, CO. After retirement, Mark volunteered with the El Paso Sherriff Department in Colorado working in Investigations. One more move to Florida to a "little piece of paradise" always using his investigation skills helping people and keeping an eye out for any neighborhood activity that could be "potentially" dangerous. Growing up in the 60's formed his love of music, treasure hunting and fishing. Mark was a huge character, and you couldn't be in a room with him without him telling a story in great detail and offering you a whiskey. He always had nicknames for people and his love of animals was contagious to all with him leaving behind his best animal friends Mini Cooper and Polly Anna. Mark is proceeded in death by his brother Byron S. Oldfield, father, Harold C. Oldfield (Barney) and his mother Mary L. Oldfield (Azevedo)
