Ron Allen
Hello all, My name is Ron Allen and I just learned of Mark's death. I was told by a fellow log buyer and let's just say I was taken back by the story. I 1st met Mark at Hartzell Veneer in Piqua OH back in the late 70's. Mark and I seem to form a friendship fairly quickly and it lasted over 40 years. I bought logs off of Mark in both Corry and Weston for years. Unfortunately we had not spoken in years just by my retiring and Mark being a couple thousand miles away in CO. I thought very highly of Mark and had just looked up the number of his WV yard last week. Come to find out he had closed it. I'm so sorry that this happened to Mark and my condolences go out to his family and friends. I can't believe this has happened to a good friend. Mark, I thought of you often and never acted on it. You will be missed. Ron

My condolences to the family. Mark was a wonderful boss and friend. I worked for him for many years up in Northern New York. He taught me many valuable lessons about life, business, ethics and people. He was very good to me and my family and helped me get my career started in the forest industry. He will be greatly missed by many.
Mike Comitz
Hi. Im Mike Comitz. I worked for Allegheny Veneer in Corry, PA the last 6 years it was in business. I will keep this short, even though it could go in forever. In just six years Mark and I developed of hell of a friendship. It's weird to say that about your boss, but Mark was a friend, always willing to listen if you had problems. Always willing to give his advice too(even when not wanted HAHA). He was a boss that you could have only dreamed about having. Our phone conversations will be missed. Mark did a lot for not only me, but my family, and I will forever be grateful for it. Now go answer your phone Mark, I hear Rocky Top in your pocket.
