I recently was going through my stuff and found letters that Mark had sent me in the 1970’s. We used to date back then and the letter prompted me to see where Mark ended up. I was so sorry to read the obit. Mark was a fun, independent, quirky, adventurous, spontaneous and loving guy. My sincere condolences to his sibs and partner. RIP Mark…

Admin.: The date of birth under ABOUT and at the top of Mark Keller's page is wrong, it is really 1954, not 1955.

Mark Keller obituary and photo for updating the Rivera website. Mark Gregory Keller obituary Mark Gregory Keller was born September 5, 1954, in Pasadena CA and died August 31, 2022, in Santa Fe NM due to strokes and subsequent pneumonia. Born to Robert Phillips Keller and Colleen Putnam Keller, the family lived briefly in San Gabriel CA with his paternal grandparents Sam and Ruth Keller, along with older sister Robin. Then the family moved to their Buena Park CA home on his parents’ RPK Nursery grounds, and sister Debbie and brother Cliff were born to complete the family. They next moved to Anaheim and the family continued managing the Buena Park nursery and a new Costa Mesa branch. When he entered fifth grade, the family moved to Fallbrook CA, where they founded a wholesale nursery and subsequently built and reconstructed houses. They would return to the Costa Mesa nursery location for several years to sell Christmas trees. Mark was active in youth sports leagues in Fallbrook. After graduation, he attended UCLA, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. His fraternity brothers have great memories of Mark. He was well known at UCLA as a Grateful Dead fan and for his signature party cry “Ai-yee”. After college Mark moved back to Fallbrook, where he met his long-time partner, Glenna Dugan. As “The Village” was still a small town at the time, Mark had a large impact on the social scene. It also allowed him a chance to be a Big Brother to Cliff as well as all of Cliff’s friends. Many good times and adventures were shared, and Mark left a lasting influence on all of them. He later worked in the Keller family’s Fallbrook Color Company with his parents and brother Cliff and his wife Cindy in the 1980’s. Then he and Glenna moved to the Santa Fe, NM area, including living on the grounds of an historic hacienda in Galisteo and in the former coal mining town Madrid. He worked as a construction supervisor in Santa Fe. Mark was a life-time UCLA fan, a history guru, and a voracious reader, from “Dune” to W.E.B. Griffin books. Mark is survived by his long-time partner Glenna Campbell Dugan and his siblings, Lynn Robin Keller (Henry Mark McMillan) of Corona del Mar CA, Debra Keller Helmick ( (Mark Helmick) of Castle Rock CO, and Clifford Link Keller (Cindy Miles Keller) of Rocklin CA. He is pre-deceased by his parents Bob and Colleen Keller and his beloved dogs. Here is a quote from Glenna: “My friend, my love, good times, hard times, so hardworking, great patriot, so smart, and so much fun, always there for me, I can't say goodbye, so I will see you later, all my love, I miss you.” “What a long strange trip it’s been”

Mark worked with my dad Mark Kaltenbach doing construction for years and was always kind. I'll never forget him helping me when my dog got bit by a rattlesnake and my 16 year old self didn't know what to do. May he rest in peace.
