Wonderful week in Minocqua, Wisconsin with Marie, Carol, Dennis and Corinna while Corinna was doing summer stock theater in 2019. What fun we had visiting Lake Superior seeing the shows and having picnics by the lake! Marie was such a joyful person, funny and a pleasure to be with! It was wonderful to have known her. I will remember her always. ❤️

The lovely Marie was one of my most treasured friends who I love and will miss dearly. We met in Auckland NZ when Marie worked for a year and stayed with her sister, Anita, who had married Gordon, a kiwi. We worked together in our twenties and became good friends. Over the years I met her Mum and Dad, all sisters and other family members. Years later, after marrying, we both had an only daughter 2 months apart. It has been wonderful corresponding all these years and discussing our daughters and their various stages. In 2017 Paul and I stayed with Carol and Denny in Chicago (with Marie) and then went onto Grafton in Milwaukee to stay with Marie and Tom. It was super special to spend time with them both and of course Aria and her Paul. In recent years we have caught up with Marie, Tom and the sisters again (meeting Loreen for the first time) when they came to New Zealand to visit Anita. It has been such a wonderful family friendship for over 50 years and I will treasure the memories forever. We'll meet again one day Marie. Be at peace ☆

Marie was so much more than a best friend. She was my mentor when I started working for the Grafton School District. She was my partner when we were Co/Presidents of the Union for Special Education Aides in Grafton. She was also my Life Coach whenever I needed one. In our Retirement years we enjoyed each others company. We had our weekly Canasta group, and with this same group of fun women we played Mahjong. Marie was a wonderful hostess, sharing her awesome desserts and treats. She shared everything from plants to pumpkin bread and so much more. Marie and I were alike in many of our thoughts and beliefs, and I believe we were kindred spirits. I will miss her greatly and always remember her with much love. Pam

Marie was my best friend for 22 years, we met at the It’s a Stich Quilt Guild, she loved sewing, quilting, crossword puzzle, etc. Marie’s a kindness person and helped out when you needed help. I missed her everyday, we texted/called often. All the great memories we shared together and forever young at heart ❤️
