My deepest sympathy to the Leyba family on the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I met Bernie when I was a new teacher and an NEA rep for Mid High in the early 70's -- Bernie worked at the NEA printshop. Eventually I met Mary when I had their girls in my class. They always called me "hita" and made me feel like I was family. I loved going to get chile roasted at their place and getting special hugs from both Mary and Bernie. May God grant Mary the joy of eternal glory in HIS loving arms alongside her beloved Bernie. "Que los angeles del cielo la encuentren y la lleven al Paraiso del Senor."

Dear Leyba Family, my deepest condolences
Loretta Maez
My deepest condolences to all of Mary’s family. She is now dancing at the gates of heaven with your dad. Mary was a wonderful person. I knew her for many, many years. I went to school with a couple of her kids. Your parents and my parents were friends. I bought green chile from them for many years. She would give me tortillas to bring home. May she Rest In Peace and may perpetual light shine upon her. May you find comfort in knowing your mom has reunited with your dad. Praying for all of you during this difficult time.
