Margaret Smith

Margaret “Peg” Harvey Smith, born in Philadelphia, PA, died on November 21, 2022, at age 94. Peg was devoted to animals, music, and dance. She sang in church choirs and the Sweet Adelines barbershop organization for many years. With her late husband Bertrand, Peg performed as a singer-dancer in the annual “Chicken’s Ball,” a popular San Francisco Bay Area charity event, and worked as a ballroom dance instructor for the Royal Viking cruise line. She also was a passionate moviegoer and ice hockey fan. Peg is survived by daughters Lynn Smith Carnes of Lecce, Italy, and Tina Smith of Portland, OR, and her four-legged companions Romy and Dixie.
