+1
My momma, A beautiful, intelligent, quick witted, authentic kind and loving woman. Always ready to listen. Offering wisdom and knowledge. A great sense of humour edged with that sarcastic wit. She always had gems of the latest info on the football world, Formula 1, the arts, history and her greatest love the Bible. She loved all her children, grandchildren and was ecstatic with the arrival this year of her first great grandchild Harley. Never unfair but balanced and a friend to many. She was always ready to have fun, to travel, to meet new people. Dreadful at accents but always willing to try. Loved dressing up and if there was a sequin on it or a bit of glitz it was perfect. Her meatballs and that chilli con carne were firm predictable favourites for years. Never try to call her when the football, tennis or F1 were on as she would take calls. She was my best friend, confidant and my rock. Love you momma Your daughter Angela xx

How did you meet Margaret?
Margaret - funny that I never thought of her as 'Marg' - was my mother-in-law and she never failed to make me laugh at something or other. I have many fond memories of meals at their house. Usually, alot of noise and banter between Tony, his sisters and Margaret. When our girls (Mathilde & Safia) came into our lives, it opened up a whole new version of Margaret - the slightly zany, young at heart Nan. And this just got better as the the other grandchildren arrived. She was a fun person to be around and over the last few months, I realised just how cherished she was by everyone she interacted with.

No nonsense Aunty Margaret! That's what I remember. She was perceptive which helped her get straight to the point. But she was also discerning & compassionate, so that when she spoke, what she had to say was readily accepted. Like so many in Winson Green she was like a parent to me, but being related she was that bit closer. During a time of difficulty her compassionate words were of help. When I was about to move on ( to leave Birmingham to marry my Susan) she sent me a letter which I still have, wishing me her blessing. (Just remembered she came with me & Susan to see Crocodile Dundee!! As a result she contributed to an enjoyable evening.) I have some pictures which I will post when I find them.

Nanny Cole! The cheekiest, flirtiest, kindest and best woman! My Nan was so hardworking for everyone, she had absolutely no filter and always managed to make everyone smile. She was always so quick with her comebacks and so caring. Her chocolate porridge was the absolute best, and going to Nan's house and checking the freezer for those pizzas was a staple! And her herbal tea....when I used to stay round I'd come down in the morning and she'd already have a rum and coke! Only 11am 😂🥹 I love you nanny! You always helped me through my difficulties, always listened to me and you gave me so much confidence and made me who I am today. I love you ❤️

Nanny Margaret was everything you'd expect a grandparent to be, her home warm and familiar, photos of family everywhere, always ready to welcome and to spoil her grandkids. She always made sure the fridge and cupboards were full, and reminded us that everything we could need was only 15 minutes away. She was young at heart, her energy was unmatched. She was silly and fun, loud and abrupt, not embarrassed to be herself. She stood for no nonsense and was quick to let you know her thoughts. She was even quicker with a comeback and loved to make me giggle! I’m lucky to have been able to spend time and make memories with her and comforted that she’ll be remembered fondly by so many ♥️🌹
