Margaret Ann Baker

Margaret Ann Rabun Baker was both the quintessential Southern lady and a woman of the world. Born in Jackson, MS, her family moved to Dallas in 1955. She graduated from Samuell HS and eventually earned her A.A. from Richland College and B.S. from UT Southwestern. An artist throughout her life, Margaret created commercial art, jewelry, and hand painted t-shirts for her grandchildren. Her world was filled with color and light. She and her late husband Ray traveled the world, including Turkey, China, Egypt, and much of Europe. Margaret loved sharing tales of her travels and life. 

 

Margaret is survived by her daughters Margo and Marken, her son-in-law Manoj, and her grandchildren Mahesh and Mahan, along with countless cousins and friends. She has chosen cremation, and a celebration of life will be held at South Hills Christian Church on October 24.
