It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marcianne “Marcie” Elizabeth Cox, 41, on December 23, 2024. Born and raised in Parkersburg, WV, Marcie spent much of her life enriching the lives of those around her, most recently residing in Wilmington.

A graduate of Parkersburg High School, Marcie continued her education at Fairmont State University. Her passion for community and advocacy led her to serve as the secretary on the board of The Nomadic Earth Architecture Organization and to volunteer for The Arc of the Mid-Ohio Valley. Professionally, she worked with IdentiGO WV.

Marcie was a proud daughter, sister, auntie, and mother, embodying love and support for her family & friends. Known for her competitive spirit, she was an avid sports enthusiast with a special passion for volleyball and her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. She was truly the life of the party, a comforting shoulder to cry on, and an unyielding advocate for others.

Marcie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and strength that will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
