October 2nd, 1960 - February 8th, 2021
Lydia Danielle Taylor was born on October 2, 1960 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to William and Freddie Hawley. The family moved to Gladewater, Texas before eventually settling in Banning, California in 1967.
After graduating from Banning High School in 1979, she attended Mt. San Jacinto College where she received an Associate in Science degree. After graduating from college, Lydia began working for Banning Unified School District where she worked for over 30 years. She held many positions: ASB Clerk, Classified Accountant Payroll Clerk and HR Executive Secretary.
Lydia was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1978 where she served faithfully in the Banning Pass Congregation.
On June 20, 1981, Lydia married Kevin Taylor and to this union two daughters were born: Briauna and Alecha Taylor.
Lydia had a beautiful soul, personality, and a huge heart. She was a patient, kind, and very optimistic person. She always tried to see the best in everyone and everything. She loved her family, traveling, reading, dancing, singing, big family gatherings (especially the family reunions in Gladewater) and her “Banning Broncos”. Perhaps love is like a resting place A shelter from the storm It exists to give you comfort It is there to keep you warm And in those times of trouble When you are most alone The memory of love will bring you home Perhaps love is like a window Perhaps an open door It invites you to come closer It wants to show you more And even if you lose yourself And don't know what to do The memory of love will see you through Oh, love to some is like a cloud To some as strong as steel For some a way of living For some a way to feel And some say love is holding on And some say letting go And some say love is everything And some say they don't know Perhaps love is like the ocean Full of conflict, full of pain Like a fire when it's cold outside Or thunder when it rains If I should live forever And all my dreams come true My memories of love will be of you And some say love is holding on And some say letting go And some say love is everything And some say they don't know Perhaps love is like the ocean Full of conflict, full of pain Like a fire when it's cold outside Or thunder when it rains If I should live forever And all my dreams come true My memories of love will be of you Song by John Denver and Plácido Domingo
