Louize and I shared a common career path - starting at Hauck Research (although our paths didn't cross there), onto Added Value (where we shared an office on my first day), and then we both navigated the ups and downs of freelance life. She was always fun, kind, clever, brilliant in every way. Louize, I can't believe you're gone. I miss you. I miss our chats, our trips to Hove and - as Curly rightly said - those hugs. The celebration of your life last Friday was devastatingly sad, yet beautiful. It was very clear how much you were loved. I enjoyed hearing your singing groups sing, hearing stories from when you were young, listening to your favourite Leonard Cohen lyrics, chatting to your dad. Goodbye my lovely friend xxx You never did like having your photo taken but I managed to find some eventually, although they are rather old...

Louize, such a warm, bright sunshine person. We didn't work together for long, but Louize made a lifelong impression as a natural mentor and role model. Caring, fun, kind, open, understanding, Louize instantly put me at ease with her warmth. In 1998 Louize gave me a book. It was Maya Angelou's ‘Wouldn't take nothing for my journey now', complete with a most heartwarming message. This book, and Louize's kind words have stayed by my side ever since and always make me smile. To go from this life so soon is too sad. Incomprehensible. That Louize made such a positive impact on so many of us says everything. A true gem. As Maya Angelou tells us, ‘my efforts and answers should be focused on what I did or can learn from my departed love. What legacy was left which can help me in the art of living a good life?' Louize showed me a good path. She was one of life's best. Sending love to all, and especially to Louize for all you did, to Jeremy and your closest friends and family xxx

It is so difficult to find words. Louize, you glorious, shining superstar. I met you at Atsitsa 2001 - twenty years ago. What a blast we had. I've never laughed and sang so much in my life. We talked nonsense and serious stuff, cried, shouted, played terrible music and laughed a load more. I'll always remember your beautiful smile, your fantastically dry humour and your fierce, bright intelligence. I wish I'd seen you more often in the intervening years, but I'm so grateful to have known you. It's been an absolute privilege and I will miss you terribly. καληνύχτα, my old friend.

Louize I haven't seen you for many years, but the memories of your kind and generous soul, welcoming smile and huge sense of fun will always shine brightly through the sadness of your passing.

So very difficult to know what to say. Louize has gone too soon and will be missed so very much. She was so talented and became a great friend and incredible mentor (although probably never knew quite what a positive impact she had on me). I can only echo what others have said about her brilliance, warmth, and the degree to which she brought joy to the people who knew her. A story that only she and I know - a trip to a dreaded debrief in Milton Keynes, we were tense (and late) and back in the day we were using the good old A-Z to find our way. We couldn't help noticing how many roundabouts we had to navigate so, in true Louize style she decided to make up a song about roundabouts (yes really) that we both started singing. Did a fab job of keeping us entertained and relaxed and whilst I have no idea what the debrief was, or who it was for, I'll always remember singing the roundabout song with Louize. Bye bye lovely friend xxx
