I remember first meeting you at one of the prospective events and thinking, "Wow…that is one amazing and intimidating woman that can be in this class. I hope we will be friends." It has been a privilege to have been your fellow classmate and friend. I so very much admired your relaxed self-confidence in raising your hand and saying "I don't get it", your initiative to always be the first to help those who needed it (like Radha and his non-tech issues… physically moving the monitor, or roaming to find a locker to store the coffee machine), your boundless energy and huge smile that literally radiated along with the incoming sunlight as I would sit across from you at breakfast (always the best "wake up" to ease into the school day), your effortless style that I would always notice as you were literally my frame of reference for class (given our "seats" you are in all my pics of the lectures taken during class.) Oh, Lorna! How I will miss you! School days will never be the same. Rest in peace, my dear friend

Lorna, Your energy so contagious..your compassion could fill million hearts!! You stretched out your hand even before I knew I needed it. I hope you knew the lives you touched and people you inspired. In your fond memories, I share this candid picture of you I had taken last December. You seemed so relaxed and peaceful, basking in the sun. I will always remember you this way! It gives me the calm. You had said once to me " We are all in this together:)" and you cared. It won't be the same without you. You will be missed so much. Madhu

This picture made me smile. We finally finished our first semester, celebrated with all the champagne and wine and smiles. Remember how she thanked each one of us personally for wishing her a Happy Birthday in WhatsApp? I joking told her she was my hero then. Little did I know she would be a true hero to so many a few short months later. Such a force. She will be missed.

Lorna, I remember the first time we met at a Cornell event. I was supper excited to see someone else from NYP and approached you to introduce myself. I was impressed to see someone of your professional caliber be so down to earth and be so open to share. I shared my decision to accept my admission and you mentioned you were still considering to apply. Deeply inside I knew you were one of us and was excited to see you in July. I admired you for your poise, confidence, and your passion for everything you did. I retreat not going out salsa dancing with you as one of our shared passions and we spoke about many times. I am grateful for knowing you. Thank you for sharing your light and helping so many.

Radiant! You were radiant. I gravitated towards you at the EMBA mixer back in June, and found you remarkably stylish and so easy to talk to. So, when you asked me if I had an eye pencil sharpener during our residential session, I was just giddy with excitement that I actually had one to share with you! I will always remember how we would set an alarm while going out with our cohort after classes to remind us when to leave the bar to get some sleep. I was happy to find a fellow sleep worshipper in you! Your drive to learn and develop as a human was powerful. You wanted to run, and you became a runner; you were interested in snowboarding, and soon your ski trips became snowboarding trips. In class, your questions often started with something like "I may be the only one not getting this..but". In reality, you were not the only one, there were lots of us with the same question, and so grateful for your taking charge. You talked about applying everything we learned in our program to your work, to help your docs, and to improve patient care. So much compassion! As I am scrolling through our text messages, I am struck by realization that when we return to class, nothing will be the same. You will not be there, but your spirit will be felt. I miss you, friend.

Lorna had a style and grace like no other. We met at an event for prospective EMBA students and then saw each other again at residence week; relieved to see a familiar face. She was such a force and I admired her candor and passion for all that she did. She will be missed.
