Playing softball with and against Sam was one of the most memorable times of my life. She was so much fun and a wonderful teammate. I’d meet her for lunch whenever I was downtown. I will miss seeing her at our tournaments but I know her spirit will be there cheering for her team.

I was saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. Linda brought such joy and love to everyone she knew and she will be missed by all who knew her. Linda’s amazing spirit of love and life touched us all…there will never be another like her. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of your loved more.

The love, respect and caring people had for Linda was abundantly evident throughout the Celebration of Life held in her honor. She touched so many lives in a positive and giving manner. My words are inadequate compared to the outpouring of emotions expressed and support given by the attendees of Linda’s memorial. It was a tribute to the beautiful lady and friend she was. Thanks go to Sheri, her family and Carol for all they did to create a warm, heartfelt celebration of a friend we’ll all miss deeply.

Although I didn’t know Linda well (having met her through my daughter April Ockerman)… I do know certain things about her. I know she was a loving, wonderful mother. I know she was a fun and giving grandmother. I know she cared deeply for her family and friends. I know she made friends easily and lived a selfless life. I know the world is a much better place because Linda was in it. And I know that if our faith is strong (and I believe it is) we will see her again. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve… may you find comfort in your memories as they are the true blessings.

Did this about a week ago, but it's not here-so once again! Linda, you were the best friend of every person who knew you. You were the most positive person I have ever known! Having you in my life was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I was a mop mop girl and you were the cheerleader. If it weren't for us, some of the cheer squad would not have known offense from defense. Those were the best times in my life cuz things got serious when college came around. Always in my heart!
