Coach Mitchell was an extremely good man. He cared about people and wanted you to succeed not only in sports but in the classroom as well. Gone too soon.

Uncle Lee left an impression on my life. There are so many moments I remember. There is one I remember the most. As a kid I went to the football games with the Mitchell family. I remember asking him one time why are we picking up the soda cans. He said that they can be recycled and is of value. I picked up many cans after games I attended. The lesson went beyond that. Now I understand, what I do has value even if no one sees it but you. Thanks Uncle for many memories and your time. ❤❤

I met him at the wedding, but he treated me (and I suspect everyone else there) like he'd known me my whole life. I watched how he managed the day, especially how he interacted with Courtney, and prayed silently that my relationship with my daughters continues growing to resemble that. How much can someone learn from someone else in a day? Based on everything I've learned about "Coach", I shouldn't be surprised that he was teaching me, too. May an over abundance of God's Peace and Tranquility flow to his family and friends in these times of grief, however point they last and however often they return. And may God guide us who surround you to be here and ready to help how and when we can.

I attended Courtney’s & Marc’s wedding where I had the pleasure of witnessing the funniest moment of the reception. The picture captured it very well. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Although I had limited interactions with him, he was always warm, comforting, open, and loving. I could tell he took pride in his family and know that he had a big impact on everyone that happened to get a chance to meet him. He was a great man and his spirit will live on forever. My condolences to his family and friends.
